AIMSS seeks remedial measures over alarming increase in adolescent pregnancy cases in Dharwad district

At a time when instances of abduction of young girls were being reported, cases of adolescent girls getting pregnant because of sexual exploitation by relatives and acquaintances were a cause of concern. Vulgarity in films and menace of liquor and substance abuse were adding to the problem, the AIMSS stated.They have said that as per the data on the RCH (Reproductive Child Health) portal, in the cases of adolescent pregnancies, young girls in the age group of 14 to 18 were more.
