Assam labourer killed in hit-and-run accident while walking to Jadcherla after running out of money
A 31-year-old labourer from Assam was killed in a hit-and-run accident on National Highway-44 near the Madanapalli Pata Thanda U-turn in Shamshabad on Friday evening.The deceased was identified as Arjun Bhumij, a resident of Kathal Guni in Sonitpur district of Assam. He arrived at Kacheguda Railway Station in Hyderabad on July 23. Having exhausted his money, he reportedly began walking towards Jadcherla.Police said that at around 5.30 p.m. on July 24, while crossing NH-44 near the Madanapalli Pata Thanda U-turn to proceed towards Shadnagar, he was hit by an unidentified vehicle travelling at a high speed in the same direction.
