Whimsical Worlds, Badrunnisa Irfan’s latest series of paintings, is currently on display in the city. The collection of about 31 acrylic works of art include depictions of enchanted woods, wildlife, and landscapes. Speaking about her journey as a self-taught artist, Badrunnisa says, “I used to only draw roses at one time, then I realised I could reproduce images and began practising with online images.” Now, her works are not just of flowers, but are detailed and colourful images of flora and fauna, and her favourite animal — the horse. She usually sits in her garden and spends hours on her works which are inspired by nature.
