BIS raids two units, seizes 10,000 pressure cookers with fake ISI marks
The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) conducted raids on two manufacturing units for producing pressure cookers with counterfeit ISI marks. Approximately 10,000 pressure cookers were seized during the operations in Krishna district and Vijayawada. Legal cases have been initiated against the managements of both units under the BIS Act, 2016.
