Opening excerpt (first ~120 words) tap to expand
In the new film, It Ends, it doesn’t. A group of friends goes on a drive and ends up on a road that never ends. They drive for days, weeks, months; they don’t really know. But what they do know is that nothing about this is normal or good. To promote the film, Neon is asking fans to do something similar. It just announced “It Ends: The Endless Screening,” which will take place from August 21 through August 23 at the Metro Private Cinema in New York City. Groups of four will be challenged to watch It Ends on a loop for 36 hours straight, with each person earning 25 cents per person, per minute (that works out to $540 max). If the entire group makes it through, each person also gets a bonus of $500. Plus, each person gets a $250 concession credit for sustenance during the screening.
