Can’t afford a lawyer? Who can get free legal aid in India and how to apply

NEW DELHI: If you can't afford a lawyer, you may still be able to fight your case in court for free. India's free legal aid system, run by the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) and its state and district units, provides free lawyers and legal help to people who qualify.
