It was only in 2016, however, that a Bosnian court ordered Elma’s ex-husband to pay 250 euros per month in child maintenance, a ruling he challenged several times. To this day, the man has not paid a cent and has never met the child. “That 250-euro support payment of mine is, I think, a precedent,” said Elma.
