Chilling bodycam video shows California gunfight that killed officer, innocent father
The deadly encounter began around 7:15 p.m. on May 31, in a neighborhood where police responded to reports of a man firing a rifle in the street. An arriving Baldwin Park Police Department officer who was first on scene saw an unresponsive person lying on the ground. Before he could help, however, he immediately began taking fire from an assault-style rifle wielded by the suspect, identified as 22-year-old Eduardo Robert Medina-Berumen.
