Dell Latitude 7320 2-in-1 Seeing Web Camera Support On Linux After Five Years
TL;DR · WeSearch summary

The Dell Latitude 7320 2-in-1, released in 2021 with Intel Tiger Lake processors, has finally gained front-facing web camera support on Linux after five years of missing functionality. Recent kernel patches identified the OV5678 sensor as compatible with an existing OV5675 driver, enabling video streaming despite imperfect colour rendering due to an RGB‑IR filter. The rear camera remains unsupported, and the patches address ACPI, PMIC, and media subsystem integration.

Dell Latitude 7320 2-in-1 Seeing Web Camera Support On Linux After Five Years Written by Michael Larabel in Hardware on 9 August 2026 at 06:37 AM EDT. Add A Comment Launched back in 2021 was the Dell Latitude 7320 2-in-1 business laptop/tablet powered by the at-the-time impressive Intel 11th Gen Core "Tiger Lake" processors. Remaining elusive until now has been the web cameras actually working on Linux, but patches posted this weekend finally are cracking that mystery at least for the user-facing web cam. The Dell Latitude 7320 laptop was one of the early users of the Intel IPU6 IP that took some time to sort out and for the Linux support to come about in a suitable way. Back in 2022 it led Linux's second-in-command Greg KH to recommend avoiding laptops with Intel IPU6.
