As a fellow millennial programmer who learned to program before having the web. I love everything about this talk. The central message that we shouldn't let the magic of computers die. It's unfortunate to see all the nihilism, especially from programmers in the corporate world. I've been going to a lot of tech events around the Seattle area and in the last 6 months have seen the magic of computers back. A feeling I haven't seen since my youth in the 90s. But it's not coming from programmers, but people who haven't coded before. People who started using claude to make programs. One event I went to a guy, who was a designer who never coded before, started making programs for family and friends as a gift.
