Delhi University on Sunday extended by a day the deadline for candidates allotted seats in the second round of admissions to accept their offers.Colleges will now verify and approve applications by July 28, and candidates will have time till July 29 to accept their seats.Under the earlier schedule, colleges were to complete approvals by July 27, with candidates required to confirm their seats by July 28.Admissions officials said the extension was granted in view of the additional workload on colleges, which are set to conduct orientation programmes as the academic session begins on July 28.In a notice, the university advised candidates to pay the fees promptly after their applications are approved.
