AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami on Friday urged the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) regime to ensure water from the Cauvery, to be released during the Kuruvai cultivation season, reached the tail areas of the river system.In a statement, he contended that even when the election campaign was on for the Assembly elections, C and D channels (secondary watercourses branching off from the primary “A” and “B” of the Cauvery system) were desilted “in haste”.
