First Intel Panther Lake mini PC cooled with solid-state AirJet tech operates at less than 21 dBA — Aaeon claims its fanless Up Xtreme PTL Edge Air is also slimmer, lighter than actively-cooled rivals
Aaeon has launched the Up Xtreme PTL Edge Air, a fanless mini PC designed for industrial and embedded applications. The device utilizes Frore's AirJet ultrasonic membrane technology to achieve near-silent operation at less than 21 dBA. This cooling solution allows the system to be 35% thinner and 43% lighter than traditional fan-cooled rivals.
- ▪The Up Xtreme PTL Edge Air is powered by Intel Core Ultra X7, Ultra 7, or Ultra 5 processors.
- ▪The system supports up to 128GB of DDR5 RAM and dual M.2 2280 SSDs for storage.
- ▪It features industrial-grade I/O including COM ports, a 40-pin GPIO, and support for four simultaneous displays.
- ▪The AirJet cooling design results in a 6% increase in power consumption and a narrower operating temperature range of -10°C to 45°C.
- ▪The mini PC is compatible with Windows IoT Enterprise and Ubuntu 24.04 LTS operating systems.
