Florida sheriff: No reason to be concerned after report of Cuban missile threat
“I am monitoring the situation, but I have not been contacted by any government agency and I don’t believe there is any reason to be concerned,” Ramsay, whose jurisdiction stretches from Key West to Key Largo, said in a statement. “I am confident I will be notified if anything does change and I will alert the public,” Ramsay added. Axios reported Sunday, citing classified U.S. intelligence, that the communist regime in Cuba has acquired more than 300 military drones and has begun discussing plans to use them to attack the U.S. base at Guantanamo Bay; U.S. military vessels; and Key West, Fla., which is 90 miles north of Havana.
