Governor Rajendra Arlekar will address the Kerala Legislative Assembly on Friday (May 29). A special Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan here on Monday had given its approval for the Governor’s policy speech. As per the schedule announced by the House, the discussion on the motion of thanks to the Governor’s address will be held from June 1 to June 3. The previous policy address by Mr. Arlekar, in January this year during the LDF government’s term, had led to extraordinary scenes in the House after then Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan ‘corrected’ the Governor’s speech after the latter had made his departure.
