Groups of youths clash on moving bus over eve-teasing incident in Belagavi district
Following an alleged incident of eve-teasing, groups of youths from two villages clashed on a moving public transport bus in Belagavi district on Friday.According to sources, the youths from Jakkabala and Basaragi had an altercation on the bus allegedly over an incident of eve-teasing. As the youths started attacking each other, the bus was stopped midway near Jakkabala village in Saundatti taluk.However, they got down from the bus and again started hitting each other and the other passengers and the North Western Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (NWKRTC) staff attempted to pacify the youngsters. The video clip of the clash went viral on social media.Meanwhile, residents have alleged that the police and the NWKRTC staff did not respond immediately although they were immediately alerted.
