Add A Comment GTK 4.24 released on Friday as the newest stable feature release to the GTK4 toolkit. It's quite a nice update to GTK4 for pairing with next week's GNOME 51 desktop release. GTK 4.24 adds support for the Wayland ext-background-effect protocol that can be used for providing blurred backgrounds behind windows, such as for blurred window terminal effects. GTK 4.24 also supports Wayland's text input v3.2 protocol and other improvements. There is also better fractional scaling support with GTK 4.24 by snapping contents to device pixel boundaries.
