Here’s what’s new with parental control features in iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS 27
In essence, the new features focus on four areas: what content kids can access, who they can communicate with, when they can use their devices, and how parents can manage those controls. All of them fall under the protections and restrictions of Child Accounts, which Apple says are required for children under 13, or the equivalent minimum age in their country or region, and available for children up to 18. With iOS 27, Apple has also simplified the setup process for new Child Accounts.
