Initial basic M4 support coming to Linux 7.4
Asahi Linux developer Sven Peter has submitted pull requests to add initial basic support for Apple's M4 chip and the MacBook Neo to Linux kernel 7.4. This update allows the kernel to be installed on these devices but does not yet provide a fully functional operating system experience. Significant further development, particularly for GPU support, is required before the OS becomes practically usable on M4 hardware.
