Instagram expands what partner schools can do on its app
Meta has expanded its School Partnership Program by allowing partner schools to create clubs, teams, and channels for community communication. These new features enable school administrators to post Stories and Notes that are exclusively visible to verified students. The updates also include a school directory and profile banners to enhance student connectivity within the platform.
- ▪Partner schools can now create clubs and teams that serve as centralized hubs for sharing information and events.
- ▪School administrators are permitted to post Stories and Notes that are only visible to verified students of that institution.
- ▪Meta utilizes the third-party service UNiDAYS to verify student identities before they can join their school community.
- ▪Verified students gain access to a school directory and can add a school banner to their profile visible to mutual followers.
