Apparently the AI companies are worried they won't be able to monetize this product sufficiently enough to cover all their investors' bets and loans. If the government steps in and shuts them down, well then the government will be responsible for making all those folks whole when the promised payoff fails to materialize.

It's a Scam 14:33 Sunday, 13 September 2026 Current Wx: Temp: 81.01°F Pressure: 1011hPa Humidity: 67% Wind: 6.22mph Words: 231 So I guess all the hype about the danger of unregulated AI is the set-up for a government bailout. Apparently the AI companies are worried they won't be able to monetize this product sufficiently enough to cover all their investors' bets and loans. If the government steps in and shuts them down, well then the government will be responsible for making all those folks whole when the promised payoff fails to materialize. After all, it's the only responsible thing to do. Right? AI is dangerous, as is any technology in the hands of bad or faithless actors. I include capitalism as a dangerous technology in the hands of faithless actors.
