Chennai Metrowater is making alternate arrangements to improve piped water supply in parts of south Chennai that were affected with erratic water supply.In response to a news report titled ‘Residents in parts of south Chennai urge Metrowater to ensure regular supply’, the water agency said piped water supply to areas such as Thiruvanmiyur, Velachery, Besant Nagar, and Taramani was reduced due to shortage of supply from Nemmeli desalination plants.
