Microsoft sends PDFs to strange new worlds instead of SharePoint
Microsoft has confirmed a bug in Word for Windows version 2609 that causes PDFs saved to SharePoint Online to be redirected to a local cache folder with random filenames. The software fails to display any error messages, leaving users unaware that their files are not being saved to the intended cloud location. While using the Export function or saving to other locations avoids the issue, Microsoft has not yet provided a timeline for a fix.
