Abderrahim Fakir, a 42-year-old Moroccan man who died while being restrained by police in Bologna on Sunday, had recently started treatment for mental-health problems, ANSA has learned. Fakir was referred to a mental health centre (CSM) after being admitted to the emergency room of Bologna's Maggiore Hospital on June 20 because of a psychiatric issue, sources said. He went to the centre in the following days, he was assessed and given an initial diagnosis, and a treatment plan was prepared, the sources said.
