New York City's first full casino with live table games opens
New York City's first full casino with live table games, Resorts World in Queens, officially opened Tuesday, marking a major expansion with over 200 live dealer games and 2,500 slot machines. The venue, operating for over a decade as a slots parlor, plans further growth including a hotel, entertainment venue, and public green space. Two other casino projects in Queens and the Bronx have been approved but remain years from completion. The opening reflects New York's move to expand full-scale casino gambling into the city after years of limiting such facilities to upstate regions.
