Notes on I2C
I2C, or Inter-Integrated Circuit, is a synchronous, two-wire serial communication bus designed for connecting low-speed peripherals over short distances. It operates with a single controller and one or more targets, utilizing an open-drain system for data transfer. The bus arbitration process allows multiple controllers to share the bus without conflicts, relying on a passive electrical design to manage data transmission.

Topology There is always at least one controller and one target. Commonly there is a single controller and one or more targets. Uncommonly, there can be multiple controllers (multi-controller).
