One person died and six others were injured in a head-on collision between two cars near Poovanthi here on Friday.Police sources said, Ravi, 59, a resident of Jeeva Nagar in Manamadurai, Sivaganga district, was traveling to Madurai with his family after attending an event in Sivaganga. At the same time, Prabhakaran, 41, and his wife Thiruvarulselvi, 35, both residents of Poovanthi, were traveling from Poovanthi to Sivaganga in another car.When they were near Thirumanjolai, both cars collided head-on. Ravi died on the spot in the impact.
