Over 100,000 UK Police and staff have personal data leaked in attack on national database
The UK Police National Legal Database suffered a cyberattack that exposed personal data of more than 100,000 criminal‑justice professionals. Threat actors identifying themselves as ExfilSquad posted the stolen records on the dark web and demanded a ransom. The database operator has notified the National Crime Agency and the Information Commissioner’s Office and engaged security specialists, while confirming that passwords were not compromised.
