Pension hiked for cancer, TB, leprosy patients in Kerala

The State government has issued orders hiking the monthly pension given to cancer, leprosy and tuberculosis (TB) patients from ₹1,000 to ₹2,000.The pension hike for these categories of patients had been announced by the government in the Revised Budget 2026-27.The beneficiaries are those in the BPL category and they will receive the benefits during their treatment period on the basis of the certificate issued by the Health department, according to a statement issued by Health Minister K. Muraleedharan.
