The Directorate of General Education (DGE) published the first allotment for single-window Plus One higher secondary admissions for the 2026-27 admission year on Sunday. A staggering 4,44,772 applications were processed for an available pool of 3,15,874 general seats, which increases to 3,17,902 seats when accounting for additional mandatory allocations for differently-abled students.In the first round of allotments, as many as 2,46,638 seats were allotted, leaving a vacancy of 71,264 seats across various quotas and community reservations in the State.
