Benítez del Castillo 24/04/2017 a las 17:58h. Durante el embarazo es frecuente que aumente ligeramente la miopía (no más de una dioptría). Esto se debe a que el aumento hormonal origina una retención de líquidos que aumenta la potencia de la córnea y el cristalino. Lo normal es que tras el parto, y con el regreso a la normalidad hormonal, este incremento se revierta y se vuelva a la situación inicial. No obstante, en un 10% de los casos el aumento persiste, sobre todo si las dioptrías anteriores eran muchas.
