I have had a long-running joke with a close friend about our ability to kill car batteries. Years ago, I found the secret: keep them on a desulfating charger if I wasn't going to use the vehicle weekly. I destroyed a lot of batteries before I figured this out. The testing insisted I go with the $100 value battery. With tax and core charge, it was $130. The O'Reilly tech carried the battery out to the truck, installed it, and sent me on my way.
