PS5 Early Access Pre-Orders Truly Are Getting Out of Hand
The PS5's early access pre-order incentives are becoming increasingly exclusive, as seen with the upcoming game Control Resonant. Pre-ordering the Digital Deluxe Edition grants players 48 hours of early access, making it a PS5 console exclusive for that period. This trend raises questions about the fairness of such incentives, especially for players on other platforms who pay the same price for the game.
- ▪Control Resonant is set to launch on September 24, 2026.
- ▪Pre-ordering the Digital Deluxe Edition provides 48 hours of early access starting September 22.
- ▪The early access bonus is exclusive to the PS5 version of the game, not available for PC or Xbox Series X|S.
- ▪The Digital Deluxe Edition is priced the same across all platforms, raising concerns about value for Xbox players.
- ▪The release of Control Resonant coincides with other major titles, including Silent Hill: Townfall and Onimusha: Way of the Sword.
