Rajamahendravaram MP Daggubati Purandeswari on Tuesday appealed to Union Minister for Agriculture, Farmers’ Welfare and Rural Development Shivraj Singh Chouhan to implement the Price Deficiency Payment (PDP) under the Market Intervention Scheme (MIS) for maize crop as a special case in the rabi season in Andhra Pradesh.In a letter to Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Ms. Purandeswari stated that peak arrivals of maize are expected till June, which could lead to a fall in market prices in the State.
