Raghu Rai, Photographer Who Captured Modern India, Dies at 83
Raghu Rai, a renowned Indian photojournalist known for documenting pivotal moments in India's history, died at the age of 83 in New Delhi. Over a career spanning more than six decades, he captured images of major political figures, national events, and human tragedies, including the Bhopal gas disaster and the 1971 India-Pakistan war. His contributions to photography earned him the Padma Shri, one of India's highest civilian honors.
