Revolut wants to take Dogecoin mainstream with its new physical payment card
Revolut has launched a Dogecoin-themed physical debit card aimed at making cryptocurrency spending more mainstream. The card allows users to spend Dogecoin wherever Visa and Mastercard are accepted without incurring extra exchange fees. This initiative is part of Revolut's broader strategy to integrate crypto into everyday banking services.
- ▪The new debit card will initially be available in the U.K. and most of the EU, excluding Hungary, Switzerland, and Portugal.
- ▪Users will not face additional exchange fees when using the card, although transactions will be subject to real-time exchange rates.
- ▪Revolut's launch of the Dogecoin card follows its recent integration of Polygon and the acquisition of a full banking license in the U.K.
