Rights panel directs Corpn. to prepare action plan for mosquito-control in Kochi

The State Human Rights Commission (SHRC) has directed the Kochi Corporation to prepare and implement an action plan to control mosquitoes and clean drains on a war footing amid reports of dengue spreading in different parts of the city.SHRC Chairperson Alexander Thomas directed the Corporation Secretary to convene an urgent meeting of the Clean City Manager, the head of the Corporation’s health wing and other stakeholders to formulate an effective plan.
