Salmonella fears prompt recall of seasoning sold at Walmart stores nationwide
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced Friday that Blackstone Products, based in Utah, is voluntarily recalling some lots of its “Blackstone Parmesan Ranch” products. The company says the products contain powdered milk that was recalled earlier this year because of possible salmonella contamination, posing a health risk to people who purchased the seasoning. The FDA says salmonella can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or older adults and those who have weakened immune systems.
