She made a promise to her husband to keep their tree farm going
Rita Dush is keeping a promise she made to her late husband, Roger, by continuing to run Pine Tree Barn, a tree farm in Wooster, Ohio, they built together 40 years ago from the roots of his family’s Yuletide Tree Farm. The farm, which takes about eight years to grow each crop of Christmas trees, remains a source of joy and connection for families during the holiday season. Despite Roger’s passing two years ago, Rita continues the work as a tribute to their shared legacy and love for the land. The farm also features a gift shop and restaurant, staying open daily through the season.
