دعا المرصد الأورومتوسطي لحقوق الإنسان، اليوم الأحد، إلى تحرك دولي عاجل لإنهاء العزل الإعلامي المفروض على قطاع غزة، وضمان حماية الصحافيين، والسماح الفوري بدخول وسائل الإعلام الدولية المستقلة إلى القطاع. وقال المرصد، في بيان صحفي، إن الصحافيين الفلسطينيين يواصلون أداء رسالتهم في ظروف بالغة الخطورة، في ظل تعرضهم للقتل والإصابة والاعتقال، وحرمانهم من معدات الحماية والأدوات المهنية اللازمة، وذلك منذ أكثر من ألف يوم من الحرب المتواصلة على غزة. وأوضح أن السلطات الإسرائيلية تمنع منذ بداية الحرب إدخال معدات الحماية والتجهيزات الصحفية الأساسية، بما يشمل الدروع الواقية والخوذ والكاميرات والعدسات والبطاريات وأجهزة البث والاتصال ومصادر الطاقة ووسائل تخزين البيانات، الأمر الذي يحد من قدرة الصحافيين على أداء عملهم بأمان، ويعيق توثيق الانتهاكات وحفظ الأدلة.
