新华社北京12月12日电 中国致公党主要由归侨、侨眷中的中上层人士和其他有海外关系的代表性人士组成，1925年10月由华侨社团发起，在美国旧金山成立。 致公党成立后，为争取国家独立、民族解放和维护华侨的正当权益而奋斗。抗战期间，致公党号召广大党员投身抗日，积极支援祖国的抗日战争。1947年5月，致公党在香港举行第三次代表大会，改组成为一个新民主主义政党。1948年6月，致公党发表《响应中共中央“五一号召”宣言》,声明接受中国共产党的领导，从此走上了同中国共产党真诚合作、共同奋斗的道路。1949年9月，致公党代表陈其尤等人出席了中国人民政治协商会议第一届全体会议，参与制定《共同纲领》，选举中央人民政府，为新民主主义革命的胜利和新中国的建立做出了积极贡献。 新中国成立后，致公党坚持和维护中国共产党领导的多党合作和政治协商制度，积极履行参政党职能，充分发挥侨海特色，为社会主义革命和建设事业，为推动改革开放和祖国统一大业贡献力量。长期以来，中国致公党发挥与海外联系广泛的特色，积极、主动地开展多层次、多渠道、多领域的对外联络工作，已与70多个国家和地区的海（境）外侨团建立了广泛联系。致公党十五大以来，在以习近平同志为核心的中共中央坚强领导下，进一步夯实共同思想政治基础，围绕新时代新征程党和国家中心工作任务积极建言履职，全面推进参政党自身建设，努力做好侨海大文章，推动了致公党各项事业取得新发展。 致公党历任主席为陈其尤、黄鼎臣、董寅初、罗豪才。现任主席万钢。 截至2022年11月，致公党在全国21个省、自治区、直辖市建立了组织，共有党员6.9万人。 【纠错】 【责任编辑:张欣然 】
