Summers, who attends Dawson Community College, took the lead early and held an advantage for the first half of the race. He finished with a time of 4:17.91. Ase Ackerman earned top honors with a time of 4:11.51. Ackerman ran for Dawson County High School and Montana State Billings during his career. Owen Smith, a former runner for Montana State, placed second at 4:15.18. Billings Central’s Addison Kegel won the women’s mile with a record time of 4:51.35.
