News Posted on July 23, 2026 Posted on July 23, 2026 Surplus Drawing License Opportunities Randomized Hunters who registered to be placed on the Surplus List can now check their status on MyFWP: myfwp.mt.gov/ fwpExtPortal/myDrawResult_ input.action. The list includes licenses left over from the drawing for Deer B and Elk B licenses. FWP will contact hunters who are at the top of the list via email with instructions to finalize their purchase within a specified time. Hunters must finalize the purchase of the license within the timeframe specified in the email; otherwise, the opportunity will be offered to the next hunter on the randomized list. FWP may offer opportunities that have not sold out through the Surplus License List to over-the-counter customers via OLS.
