Having seen the trailer, I figure that if you were skeptical of host Chris Hansen's motives and character, this movie shares those concerns and might even be entirely about them. It certainly explains why the man himself hasn't been promoting it!

It certainly explains why the man himself hasn't been promoting it! It's directed by documentarian Lance Oppenheim (Some Kind of Heaven, Ren Faire) in first narrative flick. Robert Pattinson (still face dancing) stars as Hansen and is also listed as a producer. The cast includes Merritt Wever, Skyler Gisondo, Matthew Maher and Bokeem Woodbine (Fargo s2!).
