Telangana launches Family Register, certificate available through MeeSeva
The Telangana government has introduced a State-wide electronic Telangana Family Register and a Family Register Certificate (FRC) to provide citizens holding Food Security Card (FSC) with an authenticated record of family composition and simplify access to government services.According to G.O.Ms. 172 issued by the Revenue Department on July 25, the Family Register will be maintained electronically using data sourced from the Food Security Card (Ration Card) database maintained by the Civil Supplies department. Citizens can apply for the certificate through MeeSeva centres, the online portal or the mobile application by furnishing the family’s ration card number and paying the prescribed fee.
