Brian Blessed's Hawkman remains one of the best characters ever to take to the skies. This was a favorite as a kid, and I must rewatch it every year or so. Having picked up copies of the film from various sources over the many years, I absolutely noticed a lot of the versioning this video talks about, but wow, the deep trivia is great. The origin of the T-shirt is wonderful. The story about the novelization reminds me of how Buckaroo Banzai is basically held hostage by its creator and his bizarrely horny sequel novel. Gordon's alive.
