It meant working at a famous – and dangerous– gorge. I grew up in Elora, Ont., which people know as a tourist destination now. But in 1992, there were 2,800 people and we didn’t even have a traffic light. All we had was the gorge. We used to ride inflated tractor tires down it – so much so that the park decided they had to regulate it because it was obviously so dangerous.
