There’s now an app that brings Samsung Messages back from the dead
A new Android app called Messages by OzarksMade seeks to recreate the discontinued Samsung Messages experience for users who miss it. The app mimics Samsung’s original UI, offering features such as customizable themes, dark mode, and support for standard SMS/MMS messaging. It is available on the Google Play Store and is not affiliated with Samsung.
- ▪Samsung has phased out its native Messages app on newer devices, leaving some users without a familiar messaging interface.
- ▪Developers at OzarksMade released a clone named Messages that replicates the look and feel of Samsung’s original app.
- ▪The app includes features like dark mode, customizable themes, and standard SMS/MMS support, but does not include Samsung’s proprietary services.
- ▪Messages by OzarksMade is free to download from the Google Play Store and works on Android 8.0 and later.
- ▪The app is an independent project and has no official connection to Samsung or its ecosystem.
