The Transport Department on Tuesday stated that per the VAHAN reports as many as 75,099 Temporary Registrations (TRs) have been issued across the State through this platform.Given the interest in special registration numbers, also known as Fancy Number, the module that deals with this has facilitated 2,441 online reservations and auctions.The Department further pointed out that around 41,000 vehicles have been allotted permanent registration numbers. Once this is done, dealers are required to procure and affix High-Security Registration Plates (HSRPs) onto the respective vehicles. After this, photographs of vehicles to the VAHAN platform are to be uploaded so as to enable the printing of the Registration Certificates.Technical support for the VAHAN portal is being provided by the NIC.
