The District Crime Branch Police in Thoothukudi are on the lookout for a TVK functionary and his wife who allegedly cheated a textile shop worker to the tune of ₹72 lakh and went underground.According to the police, Gopi, 48, of Pitchivilai near Paramankurichi negotiated with T. Raja, the ruling TVK’s Eral town secretary, for buying a property of the latter for ₹90 lakh.
